The Pavilion has maintained its enviable status of being one of the six best regional shopping centres in the country by constantly reinvesting resources into this iconic shopping centre.
In this light, Pareto Ltd who are the owners of the Pavilion have launched a whopping R228 million investment and re-development plan.
Announcing this major infrastructure development project, Pareto Ltd CEO Mr. Marius Muller has noted that the R228 million has been located towards the initial revamping phase which will ultimately culminate into a 3 phase refresh, redesign and upgrade programme of the Pavilion. The phase one project which commences in May 2013 is expected to be completed in March 2014.
Mr.Dewald Van Staden, Managing Director of Motseng Project Management who have been given the responsibility of managing the re-development project said the initial re-development phase is expected to focus on creating a new and fresh retail mix, improved access by visitors, additional parking to accommodate increased traffic, family entertainment facilities and other amenities.
This phase in great detail will also include a refurbished and organised food court, building of 4 state of the art cinemas with trendy digital standards, improved lift and escalator access, cutting edge designs and upgrades to the restroom and family facilities and dedicated parking for the entertainment area.
Because of the desire to be associated with the Pavilion business success and provide customers with an unrivalled shopping experience, The Pavilion has already welcomed new tenants coming on board after the re-development phase which will include among others Grill House, Galaxy Bingo and Boost Juice and it is expected that a lot more food outlets will be part of this phenomenal re-development story.
With this re-development project, the icon Pavilion Shopping Centre is being reshaped into a spectacle in which shopping memories are made of.
